Fishing Report

Summer 2008

Catfish are in their summer pattern. Catfish are being caught in 12' to 20' waters drifting shad and herring off the bottom.

Crappie are still slow - should pick up in the fall. Crappie are biting on small minnows and jigs in 10' to 20' waters.

Bass have continued to bite on the drop offs and stump fields in 5 to 10 foot waters.

Bream and shell crackers are biting good in 3' to 5' waters in the swamp area of upper Lake Marion.
